Having flailed away in the dark ages while building all my boats I think it's time for me to see some others up close. Can anyone point me to some rather large wooden boat/kayak shows or other gatherings so I can get a look at some of the fine work up close. It may be that I'll want to show off some of mine someday. Regardless...I really need to see some of the design and work done by others. Central Texas is not a haven for eccentric boat builders, or even paddlers. Invariably I'm the only kayak paddling around. All information, such as dates, places, links to this information will be appreciated. I will travel if a show, or gathering, is worth the effort.
