You got that right . With these simple boats everything from outfitting to paddler skill and conditions can skew a one sentence description of an essential element.

There was such a sense of relief when the CLC 14 was reviewed in SK, I was the guy rushing to outfit it,filing off the protruding nail points that missed the sheer clamp, because I was sure the reviewers, one adult and a bunch of 'experienced' kids, would pick up on the adult sized coaming for a small persons boat that resulted in a very splayed out leg position, like what will happen in a Coho without thigh braces projecting into the cockpit. Especially relieved considering that no one actually got into it and paddled it before the design was committed to sale,,hmm maybe designing a racing kayak without a racer in the loop would work too? Kind of makes one a little more forgiving AND intolerant of the production designs in polyethelene and fiberglass. So anyone else have opinions on Perceptions use of back band adjustments that intrude into the cockpit?
