Yes! It's not only true but also amazing!

The story:
It took me something like 1 1/2 hours to ROS the first 6 sq ft of my deck. I was hatin' it. Then my ROS lost structural integrity. Bummin' even more. Well, I took what was left apart and figured out a way to get it all back together with some superglue and a whole bunch of contact cement. And then I sanded the rest of my deck (well over twice as much surface area) in under an hour! And, get this, they are called rOs because, you're not even going to believe this, the pad rotates! It's true! And, dang is it ever easy to sand now!

Other note:
Wow! All of the epoxy that I used for filling in holes sure eats up the sand paper! A circle of 100 grit lasts about 8 sq ft (of deck with some epoxy patches)! (After using two of those disks up I've switched to roughing it in quickly with 60 grit and then resanding with 100 grit.)

Last note:
For whatever reason, it reminded me of a quote from a book (which quote is actually not applicable, but, hey, who cares?). $.02 deliverable at the next kayak meet that we both attend to the person who can tell me who wrote, "If you are able to keep your calm while all those around you are losing theirs then perhaps you have misunderstood the situation."

ps: So it looks like I'll wet out the kayak this week (in order to protect it a little from the shocks/stresses that it will endure whilst I move it to the shop where I'll be glassing it) or maybe next...
