I agree with Jay's and Jim's advice, as I had all of the same issues. With regard to the unglued areas, if you find one that flexes or pulls apart with pressure and you want to make sure it doesn't open up during glassing (they can be especially vulnerable when being moved or subjected to pressure or torsion), try taking a length of scrap strip and putting a couple of dots of hot melt on it and use it to brace across. If there is a possibility that epoxy might drip through, you might want to wrap the scrap in wax paper or Saran wrap with holes where the hot melt will go. I used this method to brace my deck, which had problems with all of the moving on and off the forms. Once the glass layer is cured on the opposite side, you can remove the scrap with a warmed (not hot) putty knife slipped between the strip and the boat.
