strongback or ???

In Response To: sanded a layer off last night (Brian T. Cunningham)
I could use a strongback, but how would I pull it out after the deck is on? Perhaps a deckbeams at each buttjoint. Then secure it to a "kingplank" and pull it till it's symetric?
