Hi Jack, as Larry said feed the strips with the bit, but hang on to them. This will stop tear out on the cove edges. It is called riving here down under. I don't know if the size of the head of the bits and the rate of spin might make a difference in the cutting since I have only used heads about an inch in diameter at 18000 rpm, so some experimentation might help to get the cleanest cut possible.
