I agree. I've never seen nor heard of joints creeping or splitting from heat. If it's that hot, then joint creep is probably the least of your problems. Usually epoxy gives first under heat from my experience. I guess the Silver would be a test bed of sorts. The first three strips from the shear are poly and the rest is yellow glue (elmers). There's also some CA glue in the mix too. I use it exclusively now on scarf joints. Glue them up off the boat to make a long strip then apply the joined piece. Works great. Never had one let go (crossing fingers ) :-)

I've got the hull of the Silver flipped and am ready to start the deck. Guess I need to update pics too.
