What's the big oddity? People bike to work, fly to work, jog to work... let's make an official "boat to work day." Let's see, how about this Monday everyone boat to work. If you don't have a kayak use a conoe, a dinghy, or a john boat.... maybe even a bathtub if it floats. If we all get together and boat to work perhaps we can start something. (Okay, probably not, but it would be an excuse to paddle on a Monday anyway.)

Okay, put it on your calendars, Monday, January 13th is National Boat To Work Day. If you are landlocked then you need to put the boat on top of the car and get someone to drive while you sit in the boat on your way to work. We will count that only because it's a new holiday and we need as much participation as we can get. Watch out for low bridges and overpasses.
