In Response To: Frozen yellow glue = trouble (Randy Oswald)
: I have to agree with the previous. My own experience, and everything I've
: ever read (lots of woodworking rags) says throw out yellow glue if it
: freezes! I've had multiple glue joint failures (in furniture -- no sinking
: there thankfully) that I attribute to glue that was stored in the garage
: and froze. I now have a heated shop so this is no longer a problem.
: Randy
If frozen yellow glue is no good, it may be northeners could be using bad glue. When freight carrying trucks move in the winter they are not heated and may be exposed to freezing temps for several days.
