Hi Jeff,

I was in Oregon last week...if you get south of Salem, OR, oak grows like crazy.

I brought home two beautiful straight logs (400# ea!) and split them the moment I got home. To my dismay, the wood inside was quite gnarly. :(

If you ever get down that way, a good bet for cheap, natural wood might be to find a firewood dealer and buy some split wood from them that you could rive into nice rib stock.

Walnut is pretty hard to come by this far west...I dunno, maybe some grows in CA.

So, just how tall is Jeff the Tall?

Shawn, 5'-18"

: (actually that is just moss). Walnut and Oak are a bit harder to get. KD
: Oak i can get at the local Home Despot.
