: What I think I'll do next time is drill a shallower
: hole, let the magnets sit proud a tiny bit, then cover the magnets over
: with glass (and a slight fillet if necessary). The little knobs won't
: matter, as long as you install the hatch magnets before forming the hatch
: lip. The knobs will then match up with slight depressions on the lip.
Neat idea, Ken. I like that - you've just solved my fear factor of using 3/16" strips on the King I'm building in my mind.

thanks for the kind comments. Glad it was helpful. It was Ross Leidy's and Spidey's websites that were so much help to me that convinced me it was worth documenting the process for others to leverage the learning.
