Brian,

I agree with the others - use epoxy. I prefer to drill holes large enough to simply drop in the screw. Dribble un-thickened epoxy into the hole and slather the screw with thickened epoxy. Push the screw in, and wipe off the excess. If you wish to remove the screw, and it does not simply break free, heat it with a soldering iron, then use a screw driver.
