Hi, folks. Question about the external stem on my Outer Island.

The boat is still "hull side up" on the strongback. The external stem from the tip of the bow up past the water line is fine. The question is about the stem as it begins to run about 4 feet long the keel.

If you just stand there and look at it, it's fine. But, if you actually sight down the stem line with one eye, you can see that it's not perfectly straight, but has a slight "s" curve to it.

Here's the question... it that going to impact the boats performance in either efficiency or tracking? If it will, I'll plane it off and start over. If not, I may leave it, since you have to look for it and it's not easily apparent if you are just standing normal and looking down the keel of the boat from bow to stern (or vice versa, as far as that goes).

PS - Thanks for all the help with bending the ash las week. I finally got it, although it did end up with a few gaps between strips of the lamination that were easily filled with 1/2 dozen slivers.
