I'm still a rookie, and haven't done this yet, but I was thinking about the following.
Drill a hole in the center (or elswhere) of each form. Run a line through it that can take some good tension without breaking. On the side of each form "AWAY" from the cockpit, attach the line to a reasonable size scrap of wood that won't bust when pulled on (like maybe a 6" scrap of 2x4 or something of that nature, or maybe just tie it to a good size steel nut or washer. For each form, leave enough line attached to it to reach back to the cockpit, and tie a loop on it, but for now, just leave it up by the form. Then, when the time comes to seperate hull and deck, just grab the line and tug towards you. When you can't reach them any longer, use something like an untwisted coat hanger to grab the loop on the line, pull the line to you, and tug on it to free the form. Repeat as necessary.
Again, I HAVE NOT DONE THIS! It's just a thought for a back-up plan if you can't knock them loose with other methods. Has anyone actually tried that and did it work?
