Actually, he and I spoke back-channel, and he thought I was a different Rick. As it turns out, he and I are gettin close to about 1,000 miles apart. Ah well... it was a gracious offer, and much appreciated nonetheless.

Also, yes, I was referring to the keel line, and my 4 feet was in error as well, but it was close to 3 feet. I'm going to plane it off, and just extend past the spot where the stem ends by about 1 foot.
