Looks great Jim,
The deck looks fantastic, very natural, pleasing to the eye. Have you choosen to paint the hull, if so, what color? In stripping the deck, did you cut out Vaclav's deck shape? did you use 1/4" strips? bead/cove? For some strange reason I had originally planned on finishing the hull, prior to stripping, but have now changed my mind to strip now, it only makes sense to take advantage of the internal forms. My Cirrus was going to have a permanent deck frame inside, but sometimes you have to ask yourself, why? I've already added substantial end-pours, no need to add more weight. Although mine will have the added weight of a sheerclamp to attach the deck to, in order to avoid inside taping. I have leftover scarfed Okoume cut into 1" strips that I plan to laminate 2 or 3 together to form the sheerclamp. Anyway, your boat looks terrific. Good luck on the recess, and thanks for keeping us posted.
