Hey Lennie,

If you space the hatches out about half way between the cockpit and the ends of the boat, it will make it easier to reach the ends when you tape the inside seam. This also allows you to load the storage areas in both directions from the opening.

The down side to this is . . the more you move them towards the ends of the boat - the smaller the become. Seems everything pertaining to boat building is give and take - HUH?
