: Instead of using spray adhesive for applying the paper patterns for the
: stations, I found that thinning wood glue with water and rolling the glue
: out with a foam roller, then apply the pattern,The result is great, I
: always have had problems with the paper curling off, using the spray
: contact cement, plus the wood glue smells better.
Coming from a signmaker, that's especially valuable advice!!!
I've only ever had good luck with spray adhesive by spraying 2 coats on both surfaces. That gets expensive if you consider how cheap thinned wood glue is.
: Today I found mixing pots at a PPG auto body supply store, they have every
: mixing ratio you could think of on them,8oz cup $.30, quart size $.35
Plastic or paper?
I'm still on the lookout for a cheap (and steady) supply of 1 oz. and 3 oz. mixing cups. The Wooden Boat Shop in Seattle used to stock them, but they closed. I saw a golf clubmaker's catalogue that had a sleeve of 100 of them for $4.00, and planned to snatch one up, but lost the link.
: Disposable gloves,If you have a Interstate Batteries supplier they now sell
: blue nitrle gloves that are textured for grip, being nitrle, the epoxy can
: be wiped off to a paper towel, I dont know the price, the brand is
: Gloveworks.
Sounds like Sasha is having a good time out paddling her King--looks like you're on track to join her shortly!!
