Hi Bill,

As far as cove and bead I came to the same conclusion. I did my first boat all cove and bead, I did the second one half c&b and half butt joints (rolling bevel), I did the rest all rolling bevel, I find the cove to be a pain when shaping starts. You tend to shave the sharp edge of the cove off as you fair in the hull and deck.

As far as the seat back, it's made by Bomber Gear. I purchase it online from Nantahala if I remember correct. I installed it using S.S. panhead screws through the cheek plates. Just under the cockpit rim I installed a padeye that the bungies tie through. I dressed up the bungie ends using those little things that clamp on the end of the bungie material.
