Crank up the heat and call MAS. They could give you the best approximation of what the characteristics are going to be. There's a good chance that although the characteristics won't be ideal, It might be fine for what you're doing (coating something) rather than bonding airplane parts etc. Don't rush to judgement and start ripping up glass.

You can also run a few test panels as suggested.
