Arthur,

See Cunningham's new book about greenland sof construction. In the back he has a brief description of building a "folder". According to him, it takes about two hours to assemble, which is lengthy, but it is nearly as simple as a regular greenland sof to build. These boats can also be built very inexpensively. (Under $100 dollars if you really work at it.) On the other hand, unless you make some design changes, they won't carry much gear for a trip to baja.
