Hi Lee,
I Just wanted a faster fill coat epoxy. It usually takes me 4-5 rolled on coats of Raka to finish a lay-up, this includes some sanding between some coats.

I have not tried just a little cabosil. I would think it would not be as clear as straight epoxy. The tough sanding that others have mentioned would be another concern.

I didn't use te 631 hardener because it may not harden clear.

I like trying different ways of doing things and this RBA project is full of things I have not tried before. Trying the thicker epoxy for fill coat is just one of them.
