I don't think it will be a matter of any one style. So far, I like the method of rib bending ( using a mold ) in Mark Starr's book, and I really like the shape of Morris' boat with the " skeg-style Keel ". I will compare Mark's Non-Pegged joints to those in Morris' book that are pegged and see if the looks of the pegs and feeling of security, outweighs the ease of construction and flexibility of the non-pegged joints. ??? Little things like that. It will probably be a big mix of ideas.

I have yet to read either Peterson's or Cunninghams books but after I complete these three boats, I will take a long look at them and will have some familiarity and ideas to make a comparison to.

One thing that I have found so far is that my former cabinet making skills are somewhat of a hindrance in that the cabinet making skills include complete accuracy to the thousanths in some instances. Whereas, this style of building is not so critical and can cause some frustration when trying to keep to specific tolerances. Gotta relax a little.... Too much coffee....
