Congrats on building two boats. Hopefuly someone will be able to help you out with the right colored strips.

If you can get to Chicago you are welcome to grab a handfull of strips from my yard -- but don't make a special trip jsut for the freebies. I doubt they would be the right color, I don;t have bead and ccove edges, and I'm quite a distance from you.

Your post brings up another matter, though. At times there are debates here about whether a person should cut their own strips, or buy precut ones. I know you didn't mean to get involved in one of those, but you have brought up a situation which those discussions have not previously touched on. Namely, a person who cuts their own strips will have more flexibility in finding matching wood colors later on should they run short of strips.
