: Hi all,
: I told you guys and gals I was going to need help.
: I have 11 strips in place (5/6)( I don't think that is bad progress over 1
: week going stapleless). Anyway, the upper(keel) edge of strip#6 is at the
: chine on from 3 or 4 and 13 or 14. The chine between these sections is
: still a couple of strips (1 or 2) above strip 6. The next strip on that
: side should start to have a bit of a twist to keep it on the forms
: Is this the way it should be or have I messed up already?
: Station molds are all lined up properly
: Andrew
Hey Andrew,
You should be ok. Not all of the strips will hit the chine at the same time. But, when you start getting that twist in the strips in addition to the upsweep at the ends of the boat, make sure that you keep the strips pulled up tight against the forms. You may want to use cheater strips, but it can be done without them . . just a matter of what you prefer.
Happy Building and be sure to get some pics posted so we can see your progress.
