I am also interested in making a breakdown paddle ( for my spare) I have made some using Nicks directions and they turned out great. I made them feathered at a 60 degree feather and this has been fairly comfortable to paddle with. I saw that the clc reference had a ferrule that was 75 deg. The Newfound ferrules don't state the feather. Does anyone know where to get 60 deg ferrules or whether those 75 deg can be modified without weakening them?

thanks
