I suppose I might have mentioned that I made new forward bulkheads that fit immediately in front of the rails (why interior waste space?). So the forward foot brace blocks butt up against them, and ought to make the mounts perfectly stout. I also intend to fillet them well with wood flour dookie-schmutz.

The part I liked best about this arrangement is that the rails are flush to the inside of the hull, as opposed to the "stand-off" created by the tee-nut-in-a-block approach.
