2-part poly is the best paint but takes experience to apply and ususlly needs to be sprayed. Go to a boating store and buy a good grade enamel. You can also find epoxy or poly fortified paints (1-part) Or... white refigerator paint in spray cans is fortified and a neat way to go. If you want exotic colors go for enamel.
