Like Kent said, wet wood will produce a rough cut. But cedar dries pretty quickly. Bring it inside and stack it so air can get to it and it will dry enough to cut quite quickly. Once cut into strips, it will dry even faster. You probably want it quite dry to get clean milling of the cove and bead.
