Hi Ben,

Thanks for all the tips and tricks. The nature of the Endeavor kayak is such that there is a relatively flat survace about three inches high along the lenght of the boat. I'll start by following your advice and glue small sections onto the boat before I commit to longer strips. I think I'll keep experimenting with this strip quilting idea. The possibilities suggest that this is a fast and easy way to cut strips, then flip them over and rejoin them to build longer patterns.My wife uses an Olfa cutter and creates some great border designs.
