Not too long ago I drew up a plan for a wide 16' kayak using Ross Leidy's KayakFoundry. The plans look fine. After printing out the forms I had a stack of paper 3/4" high. I now have the strongback set up on one side of the garage. I'll cut out the station forms this weekend...if I get sunday off...if not, then soon. I'll be using WRC strips for the most part with a few accent and design pieces on the deck. This boat will have large hatches and cockpit...though not too certain how large yet. Among other things this kayak is being built to be used...not just admired. I'll keep you posted as I get things done.
