I went on my honeymoon for 3 weeks to Belize. When not busy "honeymooning", I spent time diving and playing on some sit on top kayaks. I was staying on Ambergris Caye and I think having a nice kayak out there would be great.

Inside the reef, it's very calm and beautiful. If you're looking for more wave action, then just go through one of the cuts in the reef and you're in the wavy ocean. The water between the island and the mainland (a few miles, I don't really remember exactly how far now), was pretty calm as well. I've love to have a boat down there again.
