The cloth is a 9 oz Polyester Twill weave that is 66 inches wide ( I think ) and is the same as Mr Dyson carried. I contacted Mr D regarding this but he is out of stock and has chosen not to stock it in the future and gave me the name of the mill that produces it. ( Barrday in Canada ).

The reason I want this cloth is that for the technique I use to cover the frame ( heat n bond tape and heat shrink ) , this cloth seems best. The 3.8 is too delicate , the 13 oz seems preshrunk and too stiff and the 16 oz basket weave gives a rough finish. Nylon doesnt seem to shrink as well and is less stable. Now thats just my opinion on the suitability of the cloths for the techniques I use on my kayaks. Its not to say any of the above mentioned fabrics would nt work really well on your kayaks.

If anyone has a source of similiar weight poly I be glad to know where to get some. As far as making a group purchase I m really only interested in people who want around 100 ft or more. If you want less let me know but you will be low on the totem pole. The thought of putting together a group order for 60 people boggles the mind.
