I'm still experimenting with the strip quilting ideas my wife told me about and I thought I'd share my latest efforts. The top pattern was really easy to construct using 90 degree cuts on my radial arm saw.

Also, my wife and I went to an old time Tea House and while there I sketched the pattern of the parquet floor. I thought it would make a good accent strip down the side of the kayak. I cut the contrasting pieces from walnut and basswood. Unfortunately it's extremely time consuming. Still I thought bulletin board readers might find this interesting.
