Well said! For the first boat the 'mental hazards' of not having any experience AND wanting to do a good job are BIG factors. It is thanks to this BB that I have done as well as I can. So many guys do a lot to share and encourage here. I try to put something back without steering anyone the wrong way.

I tried the okume for a cockpit riser and think it could work out ok (the price is sure right), but I ended up going with built up veneer instead.
