Definately agree with you on that. The 3.25 works very well in a router table, but is comparatively heavy, and it has a lot of "torque steer" (for lack of better words) for hand-held work. I'm asuming the person (sorry, forgot who posted the message) using it is going to use it in a table mount to route bead and coves. It would be perfect for that.

Ryobi makes a table saw that has a router table option. If you write Ryobi you can order a router plate that is made to adapt your router to their table saw/router table, but it's just a pre-drilled metal plate, and you can use that plate to mount in your own home-made router table. Just an idea. Their plate is made of very thick steel. It didn't cost much, but I don't remember the price.
