I'm a first time builder, not "experienced", but what the heck.....
I used the #77, and spreayed it on the paper first. That was last October, and nothing has worked loose yet.
But, here's a tip. When I did it, and it was still wet, all the forms looked real good. "Good" as in a nice neat, even application to the plywood without any "screw ups". But, after the glue dried a few days, I had wrinkles in my forms. Not huge ones, but wrinkles nonetheless. Being my first boat building project, I can't honestly say if the wrinkles have hurt me or not. I had some initial trouble setting all the forms on the strongback, but I can't say that it was due to the forms being a 1/16" or 1/8" off here or there due to wrinkles. I also can't say that it wasn't a result of that.
The only thing I can think of that I may have done wrong when adhereing the paper forms to the plywood, is that i may have oversprayed. Next time, I'll back up several more inches and just "mist" the paper rather than "spraying" the paper.
