it's neat to see the different way hull shapes can occur to meet common goals. The Arctic Hawk has little rocker in the midsection but a lot of flare all around developed out of temporary molds. The Merganser has more rocker with more angled ends above the waterline and developed solely from the bulkheads and panel shape but what was at the waterline was right. When I made my banana boat it was evident that the cypress sheer clamps defined one and only one possible curve viewed from above (unless one sheer clamp was particularly dense and it could be straight for 3'!)with the rest of the hull below that curve in the bow accomodating.
