Thanks Kent...now I recall where I first heard of the 'rolling bevel'. A friend... Brooks, learned it from Jay Babina and passed it along to me.....AND I forgot. Am building an SOF...with plans for a stripper in the spring.

So, I have another question for what is likely incredibly obvious to (nearly) everyone else...I am sure. If you are placing a strip down above the sheer, going towards the keel....when you are in the process of using your plane to make the rolling bevel, which edge are you planing?

I am trying to visualize it. It seems to me like it would be the bottom inside edge of the strip, as that is the part of the strip that would move away from the flush connection when moving away from the the bow and stern forms.
