Great pictures! Thank you. When you drill through the gunwales and thread the cord through,do you tack the cord to the deck stringers inside the boat? I can't figure that out from what I see. I am concerned about getting tangled up in case of a spill. How about either using screws and grommets on the gunwales and maybe bolts in the stringers?

Also, what kind of foam are using on the deck? I am going to use about 4 inches of board foam on the back-rest to push me forward - I miscalculated the distance to the foot brace -- if that screws up the trim, I will add 4 inches to the foot brace, but then my thights won't hit the thigh brace correctly. Did you ever face this problem? Any solutions?

I was going to use closed cell mounted on some scrap marine plywood I have sitting around that actually fits well. What kind of foam have used in the past?
