: Hi Jim,

: I've seen where the name brand Lee Valley has popped up a lot for canoe bits.
: I know there are others out there that make the same bit set. For example,
: Whiteside router bits also makes canoe bits. These are high quality
: industrial bits. Just wondering if any of you guys have any opinions on
: the quality of the Lee Valley bits. My experience is limited in this area,
: but I'm of the opinion that cheaper bits don't last as long.

: Does anyone have an opinion on this topic or have any experience using these
: Lee Valley bits? I know the Whiteside canoe bit set at routerbits.com is
: $50. If it were me, I would probably fork out a few extra bucks for the
: Whitesides.

: Thanks,

: Rich

I just finished cutting strips for my second boat and they still look new. They look like great quality to me.
