I'm in central texas. I just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and and dig through the fencing cedar they have there. I find a board here and there, now and then. It mounts up. Sure...they have knots, but I get a good proportion of long strips. It is surprising how few long strips you actually have to have. When I lived in Fort Worth and was doing trimwork and staircases I remember that there are some places that sell good cedar, redwood, and other suitable woods. I just can't remember where they are. That was around 1990. Anyway...there are some places around you where you can get WRC. Try the yellow pages, or do a search, key words Fort Worth, Dallas, Texas, WRC. Sorry I can't be more help. With any luck somebody will be more specific.
