: Footbraces, Yakima 15" rails: 16.7 ounces + 4 bolts = 17.9 ounces
: Footbraces, Keepers: 10.5 ounces + 4 bolts = 11.7 ounces

The superior function and durability of Yakima's is worth the extra weight, IMO. If you want to save weight, cut the rails down. I can't think of any reason to have 15" rails in a custom built boat.

: Bulkhead for bow, 4" minicell foam (from Redfish Kayaks): 9.5 ounces
: Bulkhead for stern, 4" foam: 9 ounces

4" foam is serious overkill. 3" is plenty (it's typical in commercial boats) and I've used 2" for day hatch bulkheads.

FWIW, I'll bet that 'glassed okoume or cedar stip bulkheads would be lighter.
