Well I'm not very good at planning ,I usually just fake it as I go.
I guess I'd try the neoprene one that comes from John Sweet. At this point I'm not sure what I'd change but both my skirts tend to let water pool around the waist. Maybe suspenders would fix that ??

Last year on a trip I cut a branch just a little wider than the cockpit. In place it made an arch under the sprayskirt and water drained better. Perhaps a curved rib stitched into the skirt would work and stay in place??

So I'm not much help with design ideas but maybe others have comments?
