In Response To: S&G: how to avoid sharp points? *Pic* (Shawn Servoss)
90% of my boat building is stitch & glue. I've never had a problem with getting stuck. I use as few wires as needed to do the job. I then fillet between the wires. The next day I remove all wires and finish the fillets. I cut the wires with diagonal cutters and pull them out with lineman's pliers (actually I call those dikes and wirecutters). I also tighten the wires with the wirecutters. I may have wires spaced up to 8" or more, and down to 1"...very few of those.
