Well I prefer to avoid bloodshed whenever possible. But if the Gods must be satisfied, I'll start snipping all the wires at an angle so they are extra sharp.

No really, I know some builders of larger boats (like Jim Michalaks) use plastic zip ties. That wouldn't work very good on a pygmy, but its something to think about.

I was thinking about some fingerless leather gloves, but the fingers are usually the place that gets cut. I think my shop is in some serious OSHA violations, I hope I don't sue myself.
