I would turn it over just like I turn over a 4' X 16' or 20' sheet. Raise it carefully on one side, allowing the other side to rest on the floor and just tilt it on over. Of course...I don't do this by myself. I get help. If it is a curved piece I would do the same thing but have to have more helpers supporting the bottom edge as it is flipped. The key is to support the edges and not allow twisting or stress on the single side. I usually never have to do long, thin pieces of butt jointed plywood as per your example. I try to do the full sheets first...then cut to size. I understand that is not an option for kits. After the sheets are butt jointed and cured I can drag them up on the sawhorses by myself....but...if I have help around I use it.
