: Spent a bunch of time wiring up the deck on Cirrus last night. I have the
: same dilemna that Chris Moore had. The second deck panel came up a bit
: short in the stern. Not quite sure why. But I have a fairly decent size
: area where the panels taper to fill in. I'm thinking about running
: 1/2" strip of ash or doug fir up the center seam of the deck to fill
: it in. A nice pointy arrow like Chris's would be nice but I wouldn't want
: to copy him now...Would I?

I didn't have a problem with the panels fitting, but I did what his book recommends, tighen the wires up gradually on all plates and make them all fit the same gap. I put pretty good pressure on the places where the stern deck plates meet behind the cocpit and also the point in front nearest the cocpit.

The lines for the station locations should be transferred to the plates before taking the plans off and the stations edge should hit to the center of the boat on that line. Hope that helps.

You don't want the gap to be totally closed, need a gap for the epoxy putty.

I am building a stripper Storm SLT and talk about slow compared to the S&G Cirrus, I want another S&G design, ha! About to glass the hull.
