i agree with gordon, get a beater so that you can get out there and the pressure is off building so it now can truly be a journey.
second, try to make the acquaintance with someone else who is also building or who has. the motivation by seeing or paddling beside someone else's beauty is quite inspiring as well as the kick in the butt when you hear about the progress someone else is making if building.it's amazing what moral support and encouragement you can get that way.
it all depends on your personality, but i find it refreshing if i free myself from always trying to go forward. sometimes removing whole sections gives a chance at renewal and reinvigouration that would not be possible otherwise.
or what abt putting it aside for a month or 2 and making a quick build sof or s&g to get in the groove?
i'm also totally stuck at one step in the process.luckily, in the last yr, i've made the acquaintance of 2 formidable building/craftsmen/paddling demons(roy morford and daren neufeld), also have a bunch of beaters to get out there anyway(as well as roy and daren offering some(!) of their spares periodically), and am just abt to quickish build a s&g that will explore my stripper problem issue bigbigbigtime. the reality is that the stuck yak (or could be motivation or whatever) has always been(and even moreso now) a small part of a much wider endeavor and is a source for many jokes but not much concern.
anyway good luck, and get a beater and get out there.
