I thougt the same thing when I was assemling my Guillemot double strong back but the cedar strips extend out an inch and a half on each end. lay a strip on the forms out past the end form and you will see what I mean . You would have found this out on your own when you started to strip but like me I had the same question and with some help from some people on this form and thinking about it for a few days I was ok.
